Yellow Springs Artist Studio Tour 2012 – Part I
Yellow Springs Artist Studio Tour and Sale 2012
I was lucky enough to be asked to cover the 12th annual Yellow Springs Artist Studio Tour on October 20th, 2012. The tour consisted of 8 stops at local artist’s studios with each studio hosting several guest artists. The guest artists came from all over, from Maine to Ada, Ohio. Patrons of the tour enjoyed an insider’s look into the life of a Yellow Springs artist where the visitors could take in the talent and buy some of their favorites to take home with them.
For more information about the Yellow Springs Artist Studio Tour, visit their website. I have to throw a special thank you to my liaison for the day Lisa Goldberg, who is one of the artists on the tour and provided me with information and a map to get around the tour.
Visitors to the Yellow Springs Artist Studio Tour will find a wide variety of artists specializing in many different genres. With artists ranging from a photo-realistic painter to a Japanese block printer to a digital artist, and many, many ceramic artists, visitors will have a solid introduction into the art scene in Yellow Springs.
It was a joy to meet all the artists and try to share their work with those who could not make it out. For a full list of the artist’s genres, please go to the website for the tour. At the bottom of the page is a list of the artists, their business name if applicable, their websites, etc. Part II will be up this weekend. If you have any questions, please leave a comment below.
