Street Photography by Alex Sablan -Yellow Springs, Ohio – Part 2
Places to go in Yellow Springs, Ohio
My photography has brought me to explore the local flavor of my surrounding communities. Trying one’s hand at street photography in an area like Dayton, Ohio, leads one to really explore and find the right spots that may bring interest to another person’s eye. Yellow Springs is just what I needed to get started in practicing watching for moments and details to capture.
There are many things to do while in Yellow Springs. If you are into vinyl, Toxic Beauty is the spot for you. You can also find them here on Facebook. That burst of color on a rather dull wall just caught my eye.
From their Facebook Page:
“We specialize in rare and collectable vinyl. We also Buy & Sell NEW/USED VINYL along with LIMITED EDITION CONCERT POSTERS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK! (513) 965-1195”
Ye Olde Trail Tavern was my first real experience in Yellow Springs way back in high school. There used to be an all you can eat spaghetti deal there which was perfect for hungry growing boys. I am not sure if they still run that special, but you can check on their website to see what kind of deals they have going on.
Last time I stopped in there I had a fantastic grilled cheese, but I also know they have pizza, reubens, and other pub favorites. You can also find them on Facebook.
There are many shops in Yellow Springs, too many to name, but here are a few interesting shots from their windows.
